Sometimes it takes a natural disaster to highlight what otherwise can be viewed as marketing claims for the benefits of cloud computing. While a large event like Hurricane Sandy shows a concentrated effect, outages and loss of service on a smaller scale happen to on-premise or single-location providers on a daily basis--for those companies affected it is just as devastating to their business.
