iPhone Still Tops

It's interesting that even after the advances in the Anrdroid market, the iPhone still wins broadly with consumers (see iPhone again Tops JD Power satisfaction survey).  The iPhone 5 is packed with improvements (mainly lighter weight and bigger screen), but requires new SIM cards and accessories.  Once the fanfare dies down, I expect a resurgence of the Galaxy S3 based on superior specs (see iPhone 5 vs. Galaxy S3 vs. Lumia 920: By the numbers.)

Cloud prices continue to drop

More compeition is good for businesses today.  In addition to the continually growing number of enterprise-class capabilities (direct data loading, Virtual Private Clouds (VPC), Virtual Private Networks (VPN), elastic load balancing, etc.), new entries are pushing the envelope to lower prices and increase customer value.

The Cost of the Cloud (or not)

Moving to the could, whether a startup looking to lower initial capital expenditure or an established company lowering Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), provides a cost structure that can't be overlooked.  It allows innovation and creativity in a business plan or a product to reach the market without requiring a huge up-front capital outlay.  Good news for the next crop of entrepreneurs!
